Add 2-3 cups of water, 1 to 2 tsp. of ground ginger in a large saucepan and bring the mixture near boiling temperature over medium heat.
Now, lower the temperature and let the water boil for another 2-4 minutes.
Remove the sauce pan from the stove and let the water cool.
Place 3-4 green tea bags in to liquid.
Add ½ cup of chopped mint leaves or as per your taste if you desired.
Cover the saucepan with a lid and let the tea bags brew in the water. Mean while you can move tea bags back and forth slowly several times.
Remove the tea bags from the liquid after 10- 15 minutes. Pour the green tea into a pitcher or a similar container.
Add 1-2 tbsp. of lemon juice and 3-5tsp of honey or artificial sweetener. You may need to add more honey or lemon juice to taste. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate the green tea until it is chilled. This shall make approximately 2-3 cup of green tea.
Enjoy hot summer with iced green tea.
